Funding Opportunities for the CGIS
The Center for Global Islamic Studies (CGIS) at UF addresses the urgent need to deepen our understanding of the diversity of Muslim cultures and societies in the contemporary global context. There are no similar centers in Florida (and hardly any in the southeast), and a center like this is an important aspect of the university’s aim to produce informed citizens. Your gift to the CGIS will be important in enabling the center to engage in innovative research and to better prepare students to integrate knowledge about the diversity of Islam in our global community.
There are different ways you can contribute to the Center, and we welcome your support at all levels—from small annual gifts to larger ones. The University of Florida Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization. Your gift may be eligible for a charitable income tax deduction.
Give Online: The Dr. Sayeed and Atiya Ahmed Islamic Lecture Series Fund
This fund is for the support of the CGIS’ public lectures – as well as the center’s activities in general.
