Brigitte Weltman-Aron (Department of Languages, Literature, and Cultures)

Tamir Sorek (Center for Jewish Studies, Center for Global Islamic Studies, and Department of Sociology and Criminology &Law)

Brigitte Weltman-Aron will discuss Tamir Sorek’s book: Palestinian Commemoration in Israel: Calendars, Monuments, and Martyrs (Stanford University Press, 2015). Tamir Sorek will discuss Brigitte Weltman-Aron’s book: Algerian Imprints: Ethical Space in the Work of Assia Djebar and Hélène Cixous (Columbia University Press, 2015)

The audience is invited to a reception after the discussion.

The event is organized by the Center for Jewish Studies and the Price Library, and co-sponsored by the Center for Global Islamic Studies, the Department of Languages, Literature, and Cultures, and the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law.
